Adding the color Brown to our Enamel Palette | BowmanOriginals
Not all Enamels work successfully on all metals. To begin with they have to be compatible due to the "Coefficient of Expansion" which is the amount and rate of expansion and contraction of the enamel and metal while heating up to 1500 degrees F. There are other factors as well such as shape, thickness, surface, etc. After many experiments, trials and errors we discovered a Brown Enamel from Japan that works for us creating our jewelry. Shown here is one of the first of such pieces ... a "Hook" Bracelet in Sterling Silver and 18k Gold.
