Cutting Stones for Bracelet Slides

Cutting stones for a Bracelet Slide is tedious and time consuming. For smaller jobs we use  the 1930's version of a Sears Craftsman Stone Cutter. It is belt driven by an old electric motor at 1750 rpm. The advantage of the belt driven arrangement is that the cutting disk slows down if needed due to resistance. The cutting plates are diamond embedded steel plates. A constant flow of water is needed to keep the process cool to prevent stone breakage and to serve as a lubricant.
