Sodalite and Alabaster Necklace | BowmanOriginals
Welcoming a challenge! This project certainly proved to be a challenge. After making the Sterling Silver center frame we created a templet to represent the center stone area. We then sliced a slab of Sodalite ... the blue stone ... from a large rock. Next we sliced a slab of Alabaster ... the translucent salmon color stone ... from a rock. We then carved scroll patterns into the Alabaster. We cut and inlaid Sodalite into the sides of the frame. Next step we made three lengths of our classic Sterling Silver Sundial Chain.with a plate soldered on the end. We screwed the plates to the center piece with Sterling Silver Screws we made. The clasp is a bayonet style clasp with a white gold tongue for strength.
